The Story of Calc Bowl 2026

Calc Bowl 2026 took off on April 17 at STEM School Highlands Ranch, Colorado. There were 21 teams competing from 9 Denver area high schools.

Thanks to support from STEM School Highlands Ranch, and volunteers from Northrop Grumman, Augustus Aerospace Co and STEM School Highlands Ranch. Thanks also to teachers and parents who supported their students in the Bowl!

The Bowl consists of around 200 challenging calculus questions presented in quiz-show style to the students. For samples, please see the Calc Bowl General Info tab, Practice Problems. Questions are taken from or patterned after AP Calculus exams and in difficulty range from easy to stump-the-Prof.


Calc Bowl 2026 winners were:


1st place and 2026 Calculus Bowl Champions - Littleton Lions, Littleton High School, teacher: Rachel Ockner

2nd place - E^Extremes, Cheyenne Mountain High School, teacher: Elke Donovan

3rd Place - Mogg's Modulus, Cherry Creek High School, teacher: Jim Padavic

Honorable Mention - Del Operators, Arapahoe High School, teacher: Peter Jonnard

Honorable Mention - Derive and Conquer, Overland High School, teacher: Gregory Oelrich
